Roberto Alomar

Son of Sandy Alomar, Sr. and brother of Sandy Alomar, Jr., Roberto rounds out an outstanding baseball family. In 2011, Alomar was inducted into the Nat'l Baseball HoF, becoming the first member as a Blue Jay.

[L to R, T to B]
I'm never quite sure what constitutes a rookie card, but each of the first four cards (Donruss, Fleer, Topps, & Score) show his 1987 stats, and those stats are of the minor leagues. The middle/5th card is an 89 Donruss, and it shows his rookie year stats. That is what I typically consider to be his rookie card (or at least one of), but whatever. Last card middle row is a 90 Leaf/Donruss Diamond King. Bottom row shows a 90 Fleer, 90 Score, and an out of order 89 Topps (grrr - fixed!).

This page starts with an 89 Topps Leaders, 90 Topps mini, and the top row ends with a 90 Upper Deck - this is a great photo showing TWO players airborne! Middle row is a 91 Fleer, 91 Score, and a 92 French's Player Series card along with Ryne Sandberg. Bottom row is a 92 Score, space to grow, and a 92 Topps.

Next is a 93 Atlantic Fleer, 93 Fleer Ultra, and a Premier 1993 O-Pee-Chee "Star Performers." Middle row is a 92 Score All-Star Team, 93 Upper Deck checklist, and a 94 Fleer. Bottom row shows a 94 Leaf/Donruss, 94 Topps Stadium Club, and a 94 Upper Deck (with another airborne Alomar).

This sheet includes a 94 Upper Deck, space, and a 94 Upper Deck Fantasy Team on the top row. Middle row consists of a 95 Upper Deck Collector's Choice, 95 Fleer, and a 95 3D. Bottom row has a 95 Score with Alomar hop-scotching over someone, space, and a 96 Topps.

The last sheet includes a 98 Bowman, 98 Bowman shiny, and a 97 Topps. Middle row is a 2001 Fleer Ultra, 2002 Topps, and a 2004 Donruss Playoff LP (Estrellas - Spanish for "the star"), which is all in Spanish. The last card is a 2004 Fleer Traditions.

Not my favorite player or collection, but there are some cools cards here.

Thanks for visiting!

  1. I saw your 2004 Donruss Estrellas and wondered where you got it. I need a Rickey Henderson from the same set.

    1. Hey friend, sorry but I really don't recall. It may have been included in a grab bag I got at the Syracuse Card Show or maybe a card shop in Cooperstown. It wasn't something I sought out.
