Ten Million on a Monarch Corona reprint. "Ten Million" - seriously?!? |
Baseball history has been littered with players with great names! Some are great because announcers have fun almost singing their names by lengthening every syllable, like John Boccabella, Nomar Garciaparra, and Buddy Biancalana. Others stand out because of familiarity with certain products like board games and cereals. Others are just plain imaginative. This blog contains some of my favorites.

Sweet collection! Seeing that Wonderful Terrific Monds reminded me of two more awesome names that were in Upper Deck Minors products: 1992 Upper Deck Minors #199 Pork Chop Pough and 1994 Upper Deck Minors #29 Motor-Boat Jones.
ReplyDeleteDiscovered these in some packs I found at the flea market a few years ago. If you're bored...

Legendary Yankees PA announcer Bob Sheppard said his favorite name to say was Jose Valdevielso.
