The June 26 post by CommishBob turned me on to the Graig Kreindler Negro League Centennial Set, which I also learned coincided with a similar post by P-Town Tom on the same date. Both posts beautifully summarized this truly great set. Links to the above sites are below, but Blogger’s new interface doesn't readily allow us to view that text, which is just great. Thanks Blogger’s new interface đ

With this post, I want to share that my recent purchase of this Centennial Set brought me TO WITHIN ONE CARD of my main goal to collect at least one baseball card of EVERY MEMBER of the National Baseball Hall of Fame! This set included cards of Ben Taylor and Andy Cooper, two Negro League players that have almost no other cards ever made of them. I am so grateful for those posts, and this great set, because I now have one legit card of both players!

2020 Negro League Centennial Set, card #106. I just noticed that, unlike all other HoFer cards from this set, the card back does not acknowledge that Cooper is a Hall of Famer. Error card! |
I am now only ONE CARD AWAY from my main goal, one that I've been working on for 15 years, and that one card is of the elusive (read: expensive) John Schuerholz. I've not seen a legit card of him for under $50, and that's not happening.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of a reasonably priced Schuerholz card I'd be forever grateful if you would let me know.
Be well,
CinciCuse Bill
Are postcards part of this collection? You can find his HOF Plaque postcard for under $5 on eBay:

Thanks Fuji, but those I don’t count. I have them, but I’m trying to get a card of almost any old type. Reprints included. Peace!
